Technology

Technology is rapidly evolving, and it’s critical for students to have the knowledge and ability to use a variety of digital tools. As ESK students use technology to advance learning, they begin to share ideas and strategies with classmates and members of local and global communities.

Adapt. Collaborate. Innovate.

These three concepts are the foundation for instructional technology at ESK. As students develop skills for using technology to empower learning, they begin to share ideas and strategies with the greater community. Combining conceptual knowledge and idea sharing, students are then well-prepared to use technology in creative and innovate ways to demonstrate learning, ingenuity and problem-solving skills.

Each classroom teacher uses an interactive ViewSonic Viewboard in daily instruction. Kindergarten and first grade classes use iPads to support language, reading, science and math skills development.  Third through fifth grades use 1:1 Chromebooks, which can instantly turn each classroom into a tech lab.
