Daily Chapel

All students attend daily chapel services designed for students of all faiths. The Service of Daily Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer is adapted for use with children. Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Feast Days. Both services are long-standing Anglican traditions. A lay chaplain or member of the area clergy leads services. Students participate in the leadership of services as acolytes, readers and altar guild members. Each year eighth graders participate in giving chapel talks to the entire Middle School student body.

World Religion Study

It is not the intent of the school to convert non-Episcopalian students. Members of other faiths and denominations are invited to share their traditions, celebrate holidays, and invite their religious leaders to be involved in the chapel services. Observances of other world religions are recognized from time to time.

Nurture of the Spirit
While no student is required to make any statement of belief with which they or their familiies disagree, or partake of Holy Communion, it is hoped that all students will experience a time of spiritual refreshment throught their participation and attendance. The purpose of including religious practice in the daily life of the school is to foster the spiritual development of our children.
