Biography of Condaleezza Rice
Condoleezza Rice was born on November 14, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in the south when there was a lot of segregation and blacks were not treated well. After college, she went on to get her doctorate. Then she became a professor at Stanford University. She later became their first female and the first African American Provost. In 2001, she was named National Security Advisor to President Bush. She is famous for being the first African American Secretary of State which she became in January, 2005. She is still in that position.
