Alpha Care
Offered each morning from 7:00-8:00 a.m., Alpha Care is a service for parents who need to drop their children off before school begins. During this time, children will be given the opportunity to do arts and crafts, play games, and do other quiet activities in the dining room. At 8:00 a.m., all Alpha Care students are escorted to their classrooms to begin the school day.
Omega Care
Omega Care is our after-school program exclusively for Episcopal School students.
Lower School (K-5)
Omega Care is designed to provide opportunities for students to interact with each other and adults in a fun environment outside the classroom. Knowing how stressful and busy the school day can be, we allow students to structure their own afternoon with activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, drama, hikes, outside play, special activities, or simply free-play.
Each day, a designated homework time is provided to allow students to finish any homework they may have instead of taking it home. Our staff provides homework help as needed.
Snacks are furnished each afternoon as well for all students signed in to Omega Care. We attempt to keep these snacks as healthy as possible.
Private lessons (such as piano or dance) are also offered by local teachers. Information on these lessons will be placed in Headlines.
Middle School (6-8)
Omega Care for middle school students begins each day at 3:45. Middle schoolers have their own program separate from lower school students.
The middle school program offers students time to work on homework or work on group projects for classes. A snack is provided for middle school students who are signed in.
Our program for middle schoolers involves games and activities specifically for our middle school-aged students. They also work with the Assistant Director to plan and implement special events for themselves as well as our lower school students. In addition, they may participate in on-campus service projects.
Carpool Café
Carpool Café is a free care option for families with students in both the lower school and middle school. Designed to help with the difference in dismissal times between the lower school and middle school, lower school students with siblings in middle school are invited to participate in the first 30 minutes of Omega Care at no charge. Eligible students are automatically enrolled.
Once middle school has been dismissed, older siblings should pick up their younger siblings from Omega Care. Students remaining after 3:45 will be signed into Omega Care.
There is no Carpool Café on Fridays as all students are dismissed at 3:00.
